Beef Bourguignon

What is a Beef Bourguignon?

Beef bourguignon, or "Beef Burgundy", is a traditional red wine beef stew originating from the Burgundy region in France. This dish is generally flavoured and garnished with carrots, onions, garlic, bacon and a bouquet garni.

Franck Food's Beef Bourguignon

We choose only the best and most tender of Australian beef for our stew. The beef is marinated overnight in a red wine and herbs mix. It is then flame grilled to maximise the flavours. The pork belly is also flame grilled and diced into cubes to create what we call "lardons". We combine the lot with carrots, a vegetable duck stock and the marinade, we then slowly cook everything together to create a mouth watering dish. Not sure what to side to serve? Being a red wine dish from the Burgundy region of France, the only recommendation would be a smashing Pinot Noir!
